UKAS update:
06 July, 2018
The European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 was enacted on 26th June, making provision for the transfer of EU law into UK law from the date that the UK leaves the EU and creating powers for the correction of any laws that will no longer operate appropriately. This includes EU Regulation 765/2008 that provides the legal framework for accreditation, thus paving the way for UKAS’ appointment as the National Accreditation Body to continue. Discussions with Government are ongoing to ensure that this is completed in a timely manner.
